To receive webhook events, subscribe to the event types you want to monitor and provide a webhook endpoint URL. For subscription details, refer to the Notifications API Guide.

  • Get supported event types: Use the get webhook event types endpoint to retrieve the webhook event types available for subscription. This information can help determine which notifications your application can receive.

Replace placeholder values

The sample requests in this guide use placeholder values. Replace these values with values specific to your integration.

  • <access_token>: A valid access token required to authenticate your API
requests. To obtain a token, send a POST request to
https://marketplace.walmartapis.com/v3/token using your client ID and
client secret with the client credentials grant type. The token is returned
in the response and must be included in the WM_SEC.ACCESS_TOKEN header
of every API request. For detailed instructions, refer to the
    Token API documentation.

  • <channel_type>: The consumer channel type identifier assigned to your
application or integration during the Walmart Marketplace onboarding process.
This value identifies the channel through which your application accesses
    Walmart APIs.

  • <unique_correlation_id>: A unique identifier, typically a UUID, generated
for each individual API request. This value is used to trace, monitor, and
troubleshoot requests across systems. Each request must have a distinct
correlation ID to ensure accurate tracking and diagnostics.

  • <service_name>: The name of the Walmart service being called. For all
Walmart Marketplace API requests, use Walmart Marketplace. This value helps identify the service context for logging and monitoring purposes.
