Introduction

The Inbound Load Board application is a transportation portal system created by Walmart to match one-piece loads to Walmart carriers for delivery. Walmart carriers are independent third-party carrier companies that review the Inbound Load Board portal and accept offers.

Carriers become part of Walmart’s transporting process if they have an annual contract with Walmart. These are the regular carriers that take the overflow of orders that Walmart itself is unable to fulfill. The loads that cannot be fulfilled by Walmart carriers are put into the general marketplace for third-party vendors to fulfill.

Marketplace rates are determined by the market fluctuations of supply and demand. Inbound Load Board provides an in-house platform to assign and execute loads.
