On-Request Reports Launching with the DSV Inventory Report

Introducing our On-Demand Reporting Platform and the new “DSV Inventory” Report!

At Walmart, we’re committed to providing innovative solutions to continuously improve our 1P Supplier experience. That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of our new On-Request Reporting Platform.

Why We Built the On-Demand Reporting Platform

For ease of use, we’ve standardized the process for our 1P API users to effortlessly request and download any future Supplier Data Report. No more complexity, just simplicity.

Unlock the Value of the On-Demand Reporting Platform

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  1. Near Real-Time Data: Reports are now generated with the data at the time you make your request, so you can count on data that’s up to date (rather than reports that are only updated once every 24 hours).

  2. Support for Larger Reports: Our platform accommodates larger report sizes and downloads, including over 10 million records in a single report.

The First Report > “DSV Inventory”:

We’re thrilled to launch this platform with a new report for Drop Ship Vendors (DSVs) to view their inventory levels in the “DSV Inventory Report”.

How does the “DSV Inventory” Report work?

1P Suppliers can now request a single report that provides comprehensive inventory levels for all DSV Items across their active ship nodes. This data is less than 1 hour old from when you request it, ensuring you always have access to the latest insights.

  • The report also includes a new field “available to sell quantity”, which is the actual inventory level shown to customers on the site. This field is a calculation of the inventory “input quantity” provided by the supplier minus the number of items ordered by Walmart customers but not yet defined by suppliers as shipped.

What does the “DSV Inventory” Report help solve?

In the past, suppliers were limited to viewing inventory levels for a single item at a time – difficult for suppliers with catalogs of 10,000+ items (sometimes millions). With the “DSV Inventory” report, you can now view all item-ship node inventory levels in a single CSV file.

We encourage you to use Walmart’s On-Demand Reporting Platform to simplify your reporting process and gain access to the data you need, when you need it.
