Partner Types and API Access

The Walmart Connect Partner Network offers four different types of API Partner access when integrating with the Display Advertising APIs:

  • A Full-Service API Partner will be able to perform tasks related to campaign management (i.e. campaign creation, editing, and optimization), campaign reporting, and creative asset creation and management
  • A Campaign Management API Partner will be able to perform tasks related to both campaign management (i.e. campaign creation, editing, creative asset assignment and optimization) as well as campaign reporting via the Display Advertising API for their Advertisers
  • Integrating with both the Display Reporting API and Campaign Management API gives Partners access to all POST, PUT, and GET API operations required to manage Walmart Onsite Display Self-serve advertising activities. Partners will not be able to perform Campaign Management API operations for Display Managed Service or Walmart DSP advertiser accounts.

  • A Reporting Only API Partner will have reporting only access to their advertisers’ Display campaign performance data (available for Display Self-serve, Display managed service, and Walmart DSP campaigns).

    Integrating with the Display Reporting API gives Partners access to Display Reporting GET API operations and POST snapshot reporting endpoints. Partners will not be able to perform any tasks related to campaign management (i.e. campaign creation, editing, and optimization) via the Display Advertising API for their Advertisers

  • A Creative Only API Partner will be able to perform tasks related to building and editing the creative assets required for Walmart Onsite Display campaigns. Integrating with the Creative API gives Partners access to POST, PUT, and PATCH operations required to build, edit, and manage creative assets for Walmart Onsite Display advertising activities. Partners will not be able to perform Creative API operations for Display Managed Service or Walmart DSP advertiser accounts
