Currently we are only allowing 1P Suppliers who are brand owners. We plan to enable 3P to run Sponsored Brands at a later time.

Which products are eligible to advertise on Sponsored Brands? Should the items be winning buy-box to be eligible for advertising on Sponsored Brands?

Products that are published, in-stock, winning buy box, and are sold online

Does the seller have a choice to select which 4 products should show up on Sponsored Brands?

No.

Do you have any content guidelines for Headline text within Sponsored Brands advertising?

Once we create a Sponsored Brands campaign, does WMT Connect team moderate the campaign? If yes then, what does the moderation process look like and what are the attributes that go under the moderation process?

Yes, each Sponsored Brands campaign (or qualifying changes to it) require moderation by WMC, please refer Sponsored Brands policy guide.

How do API partners source logo images when creating Sponsored Brands campaigns?

What are all the different product categories eligible for Sponsored Brands?

All except those under Fashion.

You can link them to only Search & Browser pages. Please refer our Sponsored Brands guide for more details.

What happens if one of the 3 products chosen for Sponsored Brands ad goes OOS? Will the Sponsored Brands ad be taken down or will WMC automatically select another related product from the advertiser’s catalog?

The Campaign keeps serving ads on Desktop and Mobile as long as at least 2 relevant items in a campaign are in stock; with only 1 item in stock, it will only serve on Mobile.

Is there a cap on the no. of items that can be added to an Sponsored Brands campaign?

Maximum 10 (and minimum 2)

How does budgets setting work for Sponsored Brands campaign? Does it have both daily and total budgets similar to Keyword and Auto Campaigns?

Yes, both total and daily budgets are applicable.

What are bid thresholds applicable for Sponsored Brands campaigns?

How can I register my brand on Walmart?

Why am I not able to create a Sponsored Brands campaign? I keep getting ineligibility error.

If you are a 3P seller trying to create a Sponsored Brands campaign, you need to be registered at Walmart brand portal. Once your brand is verified you will be able to create a campaign which will be subject to review as per campaign review guidelines. You should wait at least 24 hours before trying again in case your request did not go through the first time

What is the Sponsored Brands custom image ad experience? NEW

The ad experience will update and will include custom brand image on the left side of the Sponsored Brands ad unit.

Clicking into custom brand image will lead customer to advertiser’s URL. All types of URLs available for Sponsored Brands experience are supported.

  • Size: Maximum: 1MB

What are the creative guidelines for Sponsored Brands custom image test? NEW

Required:

  • Images must display brand products portrayed in context or a lifestyle setting
  • Images and product(s) showcased therein must be relevant to the products promoted in the Sponsored Brands ad
  • Advertiser must have all necessary releases for all individuals shown

Images should not:

  • Include additional text other than text naturally present in the image (such as on product packaging)
  • Include any pricing or promotional messaging
  • Contain crowded, excessive, poorly cropped, or illegible elements
  • Be individual brand logo or combination of logos
  • Be one of your selected product images
  • Be individual or multiple product images on a solid or transparent background
  • Have any third-party marks

What are the item relevancy guidelines for Sponsored Brands custom image? NEW

Custom brand image and products showcased in the image need to be relevant to the products promoted in the Sponsored Brands ad.
