Store Assist for Adobe Commerce Installation Guide
This document provides detailed information about installing and using Store Fulfillment by Walmart Commerce Technologies services with Adobe Commerce.
This guide is intended for administrators of Adobe Commerce. It includes detailed information about installation and onboarding of Store Assist for Adobe Commerce by Walmart Commerce Technologies, as well as configuration and management of the services. It assumes a basic understanding of the core Adobe Commerce configuration and functionality.
Introduction
Store Assist has two areas for Adobe Commerce administrators:
- The Admin: Use this area to access the configuration UI.
- The command-line interface: Use this tool to execute installation and backend configuration tasks.

Store Assist for Adobe Commerce offers the following features.
Store Assist Module – Supports and Enhances Native Adobe Commerce Features
- Supports most product types (simple, configurable, grouped, bundled)
- Integrates with Adobe Commerce Inventory Management (formerly “MSI”)
- Integrates with POS (ERP, OMS, WMS) merchant systems for inventory management

Supports Walmart Commerce Technology’s Store Assist app by sending all pick-up orders directly to your employee’s handheld device in the right store to be quickly and accurately picked, staged, and handed to the customers upon their check-in.
Store Assist App – Supports iOS and Android and interacts with Walmart Commerce Technology
Bring omni-channel fulfillment capabilities to your retail stores with the Walmart Store Assist app.
- Send pickup orders directly to your employee’s handheld devices in-store
- Ensure store orders are quickly and accurately picked, staged, and handed to customers upon check-in

Ecommerce User Experience – Enhances Many Native Features and Includes New Features
Below are several user experiences that are directly affected with the Store Assist extension:
- Store Location Selector ("SLS"). Exposes store pickup option, inventory availability and store selector on the product and cart pages in addition to the native checkout.
- Inventory Availability. Extends native multiple source inventory (MSI), product and global configurations with many new features and enhancements.
- Cart and Checkout Enhancements. Communicate the fastest available pickup times, locations and costs to customers throughout the browsing experience.
- Check-in Process Flow. Allow customers to checkin and communicate with store associates for curbside or in-store pickup.
- My Account History. Extends native account history to display steps in the order history
- Transactional emails. Extends native and adds new emails to communicate with your customers in real time as orders are available for pickup.
- Flexible Fulfillment. Extends native Adobe commerce to allow for backorder scenarios, quantity reductions and partial orders to be fulfilled while facilitating any cancellations and credit memos under these scenarios.
