Set Up and Manage Store Orders
This document provides detailed information about creating and populating data input files for WCT Transportation Solutions' Route Optimization product.
Route Optimization creates optimized routes by using data input files that you upload into the system. You set up and manage store orders by entering a base data set into these files.
This document describes the data input files and fields that you use, as well as the data that you gather and enter into them. This document also provides links to template files to help you get started.
The base data files include the following:
All the fields of the base data files are mandatory.
Location Information
The Location Information.xlsx file includes basic information about your location. You provide this information only one time, with your first optimization. This file includes the following fields in the order given.

Location type | The type of location. This can be a DC or a store. Example |

Destination Constraints
The Destination Constraints.xlsx file includes information about the constraints of the location. The file includes the following fields in the order given.

Delivery lead time | The lead time for receipt of the delivery. Set this field to “0” if the delivery must be received within 24 hours of order acceptance. Set this field to “1” if the delivery must be received within 24 to 48 hours of order acceptance. Example |

Equipment Information
The Equipment Information.xlsx file includes information about the type of trailer and its configuration. The file includes the following fields in the order given.

Trailer type | Select DRY (ambient goods, or dry goods that do not require temperature control) or REFER (refrigerated). Example |

Trailer width (in) | The width of the trailer, in inches. Example |
Maximum trailer weight (lb) | The maximum weight that the trailer can carry, in pounds. Example |
Position of the front axle in inches. | The distance from the nose of the trailer to the front axle, in inches. Example |
Maximum weight on front axle (pounds) | The maximum weight permitted on the front axle, in pounds. Example |
Position of the rear axle in inches. | The distance from the nose of the trailer to the rear axle, in inches. Example |
Maximum distance to rear axle | The maximum distance of the rear axle from the nose of the trailer, in inches. Example |
Minimum distance to rear axle | The minimum distance of the rear axle from the nose of the trailer, in inches. Example |
Maximum weight on rear axle (pounds) | The maximum weight allowed on the rear axle, in pounds. Example |
Minimum distance to front bulkhead (inches) | The minimum distance between the trailer nose and the bulkhead that is positioned at the front axle, in inches. Example |
Maximum distance to front bulkhead (inches) | The maximum distance between the trailer nose and the bulkhead that is positioned at the front axle, in inches. Example |

Store Order
The Store Order.xlsx file includes information about the type of trailer and its configuration. The file includes the following fields in the order given.

Cubic feet | The size of the pallet, in cubic feet (cf). Example |
