Onboard to Marketplace Orders Hub
This document provides a brief overview of Marketplace Orders Hub and explains how to onboard to the service.
Walmart Commerce Technology (WCT) introduces Marketplace Orders Hub (“the Hub”). The Hub simplifies the business of retail by consolidating sales channels.
About Marketplace Orders Hub
Marketplace Orders Hub orchestrates retail systems, connecting marketplaces in an enriched layer of sales channels. Onboarding retailers upload files describing listing information that includes catalog, product, and inventory availability. A catalog service consolidates partner catalogs into a unified marketplace of integrated retail systems. A gateway service mediates and streamlines interactions between the Hub and marketplaces. Integrate once to the Hub, and onboard multiple marketplaces.
Key benefits
Marketplace Orders Hub improves the performance of retail fulfillment pipelines. Key benefits include:
- Aggregate marketplace listings across marketplaces and channels.
- Aggregate marketplace orders for seamless in-store fulfillment.
- The Hub analytics engine collects information and gives you feedback on business-critical systems.
Onboard to Marketplace Orders Hub
To onboard to the Hub, you need the following items:
Access token. You receive an access token when you sign a contract with the marketplace. You share the token with the Hub to integrate with marketplaces.
Catalog file. A catalog is a collection of items you offer for sale. You build your storefront on the Hub by publishing a properly formatted spreadsheet file that lists and describes the items you want to sell in a specified marketplace. This is your catalog file.
