Walmart API Postman Collection

Utilize the live ‘Run in Postman’ buttons on the Walmart API Developer Portal to seamlessly interact with Walmart APIs via Postman, an industry leading API client.

What is the live ‘Run in Postman’ button?

A feature embedded on the Walmart API Developer Portal that allows approved API consumers to ‘fork’ the Walmart API Postman collection. Forking creates a copy of the collection while maintaining a link to the parent collection. In this way Walmart API consumers may ensure that their Postman collection stays up to date over time.

For which APIs is the live ‘Run in Postman’ button available?

Walmart Marketplace APIs in US, CA, and MX markets and 1P Supplier APIs

Who may use the live ‘Run in Postman’ button?

All approved Marketplace sellers and solution providers.

How do I use the live ‘Run in Postman’ button?

Visit the Reference page for the Walmart API that you wish to fork and select the orange ‘Run in Postman’ button. Selecting this button will fork the collection for that API only. This way you may skip forking APIs that you do not interact with. Enter the required information in the pop-up windows to complete the forking process. After selecting the ‘Fork Collection’ button, the forked API will be visible in your Postman application. Repeat this step for each API that you wish to fork.

How do I ensure that my forked Postman collection stays up to date?

Periodically Walmart updates its APIs. In order to incorporate these changes, Postman requires users of forked collections to “pull” any changes from the parent collection. In your Postman application, select the forked API, select the “Pull Changes” option, and follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the latest Walmart API Postman collection.
