New: Item spec 5.0 version, July 2026

Walmart released a new recommended item specification version for MP_ITEM, MP_MAINTENANCE, MP_WFS_ITEM, and OMNI_WFS feed types.

The new recommended version is 5.0.20260608-18_15_07-api.

Download the latest spec files and review the corresponding spec version reports in the Item spec reporting and version table to see updates compared to the previous version.

Collectibles support expanded

The Walmart item specification now supports Collectibles listings across additional eligible product types. The updated specification includes new Collectibles attributes, condition values, validation rules, and supported item setup workflows.

Only sellers approved for the Collectibles program can submit collectible-specific attributes. All other sellers must follow the Standard assortment flow and must not submit collectible-specific fields.

What changed

  • Expanded Collectibles support to 20 additional product types that support both Standard and Collectible items.
  • Added the item_assortment_type attribute to identify whether an eligible item is Standard or Collectible. Integrations should begin using item_assortment_type instead of isCollectible going forward.
  • Added collectible-specific condition, grading, and product attributes.
  • Added validation rules based on seller eligibility, product type, assortment type, and grading type.
  • Added applicable support for Offer Setup by Match and Walmart Fulfillment Services.
  • Added the recommended blind_box attribute for supported product types. Allowed values: No, Yes.

Why it matters

Approved sellers can now list Collectibles across more eligible product types while providing more accurate condition and grading information.

API sellers and solution providers should review their integrations to make sure they submit the correct assortment type and collectible-specific attributes for each product type. Submissions that do not meet the eligibility or attribute requirements may fail validation.
