Updates to Collectibles item setup and maintenance
Sellers listing Collectibles must now include the following required attributes during item setup:
collectible_grading_type
(for example, New, Ungraded, Graded)grading_company
(for example, PSA, Beckett.)collectible_grade
(for example, Mint, Near Mint)condition
(for example, Like New, Damaged)
These requirements apply to exclusive product types (PTs) including Trading Cards, Trading Card Games, Comics, Coins, Collectible Ephemera, and Autographed Collectibles.
NOTE: Currently, Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) supports only Trading Cards, Trading Card Games, and Coins.
Update your APIs using the latest specification in Developer Portal to avoid disruptions and ensure smooth item setup and maintenance flows.
Item setup:
If any of the required attributes are missing, you will receive an error indicating which attribute is missing. Follow the instructions in the error message to correct the issue and complete the setup.
Item maintenance:
These attributes cannot be edited during maintenance. However, the maintenance of existing items will continue to process successfully, even when the new attributes are set to null.
Additionally, the isCollectible
attribute is now supported in 28 shared PTs. It is recommended to use this attribute to flag an item as Collectible.
Country of Origin (COO) attribute
The new spec introduces a mandatory countryOfOriginSubstantialTransformation
(COO) attribute, identifying where a product was manufactured or transformed. COO is essential for compliance, quality assurance, transparency, and to meet import/export requirements.
The COO attribute is mandatory for item creation starting Items spec 5.0.20250612-15_17_48 onwards. The COO is required for future programs and if not specified, an error will be displayed in the Feed item status API.
During item maintenance, you can only add the COO attribute if it was not added during the item setup. The attribute cannot be updated during the item maintenance flow. Attempting to do so will result in an error.
The COO cannot be updated using the MP_MAINTENANCE feed type for an existing item. You must delete the item using the Seller Center UI, wait for a 48-hour interval, and then set up a new item with the updated COO using the same or a different SKU number. This integration ensures that Walmart meets necessary compliance and regulatory standards while providing clear information about the origins of products to consumers.
Automated Pricing during item setup
We’re excited to introduce a new way to streamline your item setup process: automated pricing! Now, when adding new items, you’ll find an Automate Pricing section within the item setup specification. This powerful feature allows you to set up custom rules and boundaries, enabling item prices to be automatically adjusted (repriced) based on the strategies and limits you define.
Key highlights:
- Flexible strategies: Choose from a list of pricing strategies you’ve set up to match your business goals.
- Custom boundaries: Set rules and limits to ensure prices stay within your desired range.
- Seamless integration: Automated repricing happens right within the item setup workflow.

State Chemical Disclosure for Apparel Products
Sellers and suppliers must now identify apparel products that contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) using the State Chemical Disclosure attribute. This requirement helps you avoid major non-compliance risks.
The state_chemical_disclosure
attribute definition has been updated to:
Statements/Warnings required by varied state laws to inform consumers about the presence of designated chemicals in products. If there are no disclosures or warnings, please enter the value “None”.
This data is required for the following 11 apparel PTs:
- Fishing Wader Boots
- Bib Snow Pants
- Rain Suits
- Snowsuits
- Ski Pants
- Snow Pants
- Snowboard Pants
- Workwear Overalls & Coveralls
- Rain Coats
- Ski Jackets
- Snow Jackets

Set up Pre-Owned items for WFS
Sellers enrolled in the Walmart Pre-Owned program can now list eligible Pre-Owned items through Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS).
When setting up a Pre-Owned item for WFS:
- Provide the original Global Trade Item Number (GTIN)
- A custom GTIN—called a Fulfillment ID—is automatically generated to track the item within the Walmart fulfillment network
- Make sure to specify the
Condition
of a Pre-Owned item during conversion from SFF to WFS and ensure it exactly matches the condition of the original SFF item
Pesticide Enablement for WFS
We’re excited to announce upcoming enhancements that will enable the sale of pesticides through Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS). As part of this project, we have updated the Single, Bulk, and API item setup workflows.
- The current combined
ChemicalAerosolPesticide
attribute has been split into three distinct attributes:isChemical
to indicate a product is or contains a chemicalisAerosol
to indicate a product is or contains an aerosolisPesticide
to indicate a product is or contains a pesticide
- If you specify
yes
to theisPesticide
attribute, thepesticide_type

yes
, a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is conditionally required to meet compliance, labeling, and shipping requirements.
These updates will help streamline compliance and improve the item setup experience for sellers on WFS.
