Walmart Preferred Carriers

Walmart provides a network of trusted carriers through the Walmart Preferred Carrier (WPC) Program, designed to simplify inbound shipping to Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) facilities. When you use Walmart’s Preferred Carrier APIs, you can automate your shipping process, access negotiated rates, and streamline carrier management.

By integrating with Walmart’s trusted network of preferred carriers, you can reduce inbound shipping costs through Walmart-negotiated rates for high-volume shipments. The program simplifies operations by eliminating the need to manage carrier bidding, pickup coordination, or delivery scheduling. Additionally, billing is streamlined—estimated shipping charges are provided during shipment setup and automatically deducted from your WFS sales, saving time and reducing manual effort.

The following new APIs are designed to support automated fulfillment workflows for Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS).

• Create Carrier Rate Quote (New) – Request available shipping options and Walmart-negotiated rates based on your shipment’s weight, dimensions, and destination. The Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) Preferred Carrier Program supports both FedEx parcel solutions and Less Than Truckload (LTL shipments).
• Get Carrier Rate Quote (New) – Retrieve carrier rate quotes for a specific inbound shipment by providing the shipment ID and quote type (such as Parcel or LTL).
• Create Booking (New) - Confirm and accept the estimated carrier shipping charges when participating in the WFS Preferred Carrier Program (FedEx Parcel or LTL) for inbound inventory shipments to Walmart fulfillment centers.
• Cancel Booking (New)- Cancel carrier shipping charges within 24 hours for small parcel shipments and within 1 hour for LTL shipments, after accepting the estimated charges.
• Generate Label (New) - Create shipping labels for shipments that have been successfully booked.
• Download Label (New)- Download the labels of booked shipments for small parcel shipments.
• Print Bill of Lading (BOL) (New) - Generate and print the Bill of Lading (BOL) document for booked shipments, required for carrier pickup and transportation.
