New WFS Multichannel Solutions (MCS) API Sandbox

The new MCS API sandbox supports custom test data simulation, enabling users to create, modify, and manage their own mock data for testing end-to-end workflows.

Key new features

• Custom test data creation – Build sandbox-specific items, sales channels, and orders to simulate real-world fulfillment and lifecycle scenarios.
• Expanded API coverage – Includes item setup, sales channel management, order creation, cancellation, and status tracking in the sandbox environment.
• Realistic status progression – Mock orders now progress through fulfillment states (Submitted → Acknowledged → Shipped → Delivered) using configurable strategies based on elapsed time or order number prefix.
• Data lifecycle management – Sandbox data is retained for up to 48 hours and automatically cleared afterward for a clean test environment.
• Enhanced error and validation handling – Sandbox responses now mirror production validation logic for more accurate, reliable testing.
• These new capabilities make it easier to simulate and validate complete Multichannel Solutions workflows before moving to production.
