New: WFS Recommendations APIs

Date: January 20, 2025

Three new Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) Recommendations APIs have been introduced to help improve item availability, identify opportunities to grow sales and resolve unpublished listings. These APIs provide actionable insights and metrics to prioritize high-impact actions across your catalog.

What’s changed

Added these new APIs:

  • Get WFS restock recommendations: Identify WFS items that are at risk of going out of stock or are already out of stock. It provides suggested replenishment quantities, days of supply, sales forecasts, and opportunity estimates.
  • Fulfill with WFS recommendations: Identify which seller-fulfilled items in your catalog Walmart suggests could potentially perform best when fulfilled by WFS, including predicted sales lift, and units we suggest you send.
  • Get WFS unpublished recommendations: Retrieve a paginated list of unpublished items with insights such as unpublished reasons and estimated storage fees.
Optional demand and insight filters across all three endpoints to help prioritize high-impact opportunities.

Why it matters

  • Helps prevent out-of-stock scenarios by surfacing data-driven replenishment recommendations.
  • Enables informed decisions using predicted sales lift.
  • Reduces time spent diagnosing unpublished items by clearly identifying issue types.
  • Improves overall catalog health, availability, and growth potential using consistent, actionable insights.
