# Performance webhooks

Performance webhooks deliver the same performance communications that sellers receive by email to your application through HTTP POST requests. Use the webhook integration to notify your systems when a seller needs attention and to automate follow ups.

### Notification types

Performance webhook supports the following Performance notification types. Each webhook delivery includes `payload.notificationType` to indicate the notification type:

* [`ALARMS`](/us-marketplace/docs/seller-performance-alarms/) for shipping risks and actions. Notifications are triggered based on seller activity and may arrive at different times. Design your integration to process notifications as they arrive.
* [`REPORT`](/us-marketplace/docs/seller-performance-report) for the weekly KPI rollup across standards. Sent every Monday at 5:00 AM PT.

### Audience

Sellers and approved Solution Providers that integrate with Walmart Marketplace and want machine-readable Performance notifications.

## How it works

1. Discover available performance notification types. Refer to **Notification types** above and the [Event catalog](/us-marketplace/docs/event-catalog).
2. Register your webhook endpoint for Performance notifications (event: `SELLER_PERFORMANCE_NOTIFICATIONS`). Refer to [Set up your Performance webhook endpoint](/us-marketplace/docs/set-up-your-performance-webhook-endpoint).
3. Receive webhook deliveries and return 2xx on success. You'll receive `SELLER_PERFORMANCE_NOTIFICATIONS` with `payload.notificationType` set to `ALARMS` or `REPORT`. Refer to [Subscribe to the performance webhook](/us-marketplace/docs/subscribe-to-the-performance-webhook).
4. Monitor delivery retries and endpoint health. Refer to [Troubleshooting and delivery health](/us-marketplace/docs/troubleshooting-and-delivery-health/).
5. Review failure emails and logs.

## Delivery format

Webhook requests include a `payload` object with event-specific fields. Refer to the event pages for full schemas and examples. The following samples show `ALARMS` and `REPORT` payloads.

### Trend values and Risk levels by KPI

* **Trend values**<br />Each KPI includes `overallTrend` to indicate direction versus the standard and prior period.<br />`GREEN_UP`, `GREEN_DOWN`, `NEUTRAL`, `RED_UP`, `RED_DOWN`. Refer to [Seller performance report](/us-marketplace/docs/seller-performance-report) for meanings and example thresholds.
* **Risk levels**<br />Each KPI includes `performanceRiskLevel` with one of Good, Monitor, or Urgent. Refer to [Seller performance report](/us-marketplace/docs/seller-performance-report) for meanings and example thresholds.

## When to use the performance webhook

Use the performance webhook when you want your systems to act as soon as a seller needs attention.

* You run operational workflows and want an actionable list of orders that need attention. Refer to [Seller performance alarms](/us-marketplace/docs/seller-performance-alarms/).
* Different teams own different workflows; route internally by `payload.notificationType` at your webhook endpoint. Refer to [Set up your Performance webhook endpoint](/us-marketplace/docs/set-up-your-performance-webhook-endpoint).
* You are an approved solution provider and want one consistent feed for all your sellers. Start with [Subscribe to the performance webhook](/us-marketplace/docs/subscribe-to-the-performance-webhook).

## Prerequisites

* A Walmart Marketplace seller or partner account
* Production or sandbox API credentials
* A public HTTPS callback URL that returns 2xx on success
* A webhook endpoint for Performance notifications. Refer to [Set up your Performance webhook endpoint](/us-marketplace/docs/set-up-your-performance-webhook-endpoint). The `resource` value when subscribing is `FEEDS`.

## Implementation path

1. **Set up your Performance webhook endpoint**<br />Configure your webhook endpoint to receive Performance notifications and route internally using `payload.notificationType`. Refer to [Set up your Performance webhook endpoint](/us-marketplace/docs/set-up-your-performance-webhook-endpoint).
2. **Subscribe to Performance notifications**<br />Review the available event types and create one or more subscriptions using your callback URL. Include `FEEDS` as the `resource` value. Refer to [Subscribe to the performance webhook](/us-marketplace/docs/subscribe-to-the-performance-webhook).<br />**API reference**: [Get event types](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/geteventtypes), [Create subscription](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/createsubscription), [Update subscription](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/updatesubscription), [Get all subscriptions](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/getallsubscriptions), [Delete subscription](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/deletesubscription).
3. **Handle and acknowledge events**<br />Store the payload, deduplicate using the delivery identifier exposed to integrators (for example, a top-level `eventId` field or a documented delivery header), start your workflows, and return 2xx after a durable write. Refer to the [Event catalog](/us-marketplace/docs/event-catalog) for payload shapes and examples.
4. **Monitor delivery health**<br />Review logs, watch for retries, and fix failing endpoints. Walmart retries on non-2xx. Refer to [Troubleshooting and delivery health](/us-marketplace/docs/troubleshooting-and-delivery-health/).
5. **Test in sandbox**<br />Send a test delivery to validate your routing and acknowledgment behavior. Refer to [Test in sandbox](/us-marketplace/docs/test-in-sandbox/).<br />**API reference**: [Test notification](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/testnotification).

## Delivery health and retries

* Walmart retries when your endpoint does not return 2xx. Refer to [Troubleshooting and delivery health](/us-marketplace/docs/troubleshooting-and-delivery-health/).
* Log deliveries and failures and deduplicate using the delivery identifier you store.

## Market availability

The performance webhook is available for sellers listing on Walmart marketplaces in the United States.

## Reference guide

This guide explains how to use the performance webhook in your integration, with concepts, setup steps, and payload examples.

* [Get event types](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/geteventtypes): Lists available notification event types and versions.
* [Create subscription](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/createsubscription): Registers your callback URL for selected events. Requires the `resource` value.
* [Update subscription](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/updatesubscription): Changes an existing subscription (endpoint URL, event set, or status).
* [Get all subscriptions](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/getallsubscriptions): Returns all subscriptions on your account for auditing and troubleshooting.
* [Delete subscription](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/deletesubscription): Removes a subscription you no longer need.
* [Test notification](https://developer.walmart.com/us-marketplace/reference/testnotification): Triggers a sample delivery to your callback URL to validate your integration.
