Walmart GoLocal Delivery Sizes
Walmart GoLocal categorizes delivery requests by size codes such as S, M, L, XL, and OVERSIZED.
Eligible Order Sizes
The following are the maximum limits for each order size.
Valid values are:
Value | Meaning | Maximum Volume | Maximum Weight | Maximum Dimension | Individual Items |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
S | Small | 4 cu. ft. | 50 lbs. | 5 ft. or 60 in. | 25 count 50 lbs. for any individual package. |
M | Medium | 6 cu. ft. | 150 lbs. | 5 ft. or 60 in. | 50 count 60 lbs. for any individual package. |
L | Large | 8 cu. ft. | 300 lbs. | 5 ft. or 60 in. | 75 count 60 lbs. for any individual package. |
XL | Extra large | 32 cu. ft. | 350 lbs. | 5 ft. or 60 in. | No count limit 60 lbs. for any individual package. |
OVERSIZED | Oversized | 5,000 cu. ft. | 50,000 lbs. total | 52 ft. or 624 in. | No count limit 2500 lbs. for any individual package. |
The maximum dimension is any of length, width, or height.
The following helps determine the order size:
- Small (S): An order that is less than or equal to 4 cu. ft. volume and less than or equal to 50 lbs. weight.
- Medium (M): An order that is bigger than Small (S), but less than or equal to 6 cu. ft. volume and less than or equal to 150 lbs. weight.
- Large (L): An order that is bigger than Medium (M), but less than or equal to 8 cu. ft. volume and less than or equal to 300 lbs. weight.
- Extra Large (XL): An order that is bigger than Large (L), but less than or equal to 32 cu. ft. volume and less than or equal to 350 lbs. weight.
- Oversized (OVERSIZED): An order that is bigger than Extra Large (XL), but less than or equal to 5,000 cu. ft. volume and less than or equal to 50,000 lbs. weight. The maximum weight for any individual item in an oversized load is 2,500 lbs.
Ineligible Order Sizes
The following are limitations making the order ineligible for delivery.
- An order value that exceeds the Oversized values. For example, a potential order is either more than 5,000 cu. ft., or more than 50,000 pounds. This order would be ineligible for Walmart GoLocal delivery because it exceeds at least one of the Oversized values.
- Any dimension (length, width, or height) that exceeds 52 ft. is ineligible for Walmart GoLocal delivery.
Order Size Calculation
Walmart GoLocal will calculate the order size based on the following hierarchy.
- If volume or weight are provided, Walmart GoLocal will calculate the order size as S, M, L, XL, or Oversized.
- If the order size is provided, Walmart GoLocal sets the dimensions to the closest order size of S, M, L, XL, or Oversized.
- Optionally, each item in the order may have its volume and weight included. Walmart GoLocal will calculate the order size based on the combination of all the items.
- In oversized deliveries volume, weight and dimensions are required to ensure the appropriate vehicle size is used for the delivery.
If not enough information is provided, the order and delivery request will fail.
