Vendor Managed Pricing Overview

Welcome to Walmart’s Vendor Managed Pricing (VMP) Program Report! This report is only available for suppliers who work with Walmart to define store level cost and prices for items directly delivered to Walmart Store via Distributors also known as Direct Ship Delivery (DSD) suppliers. Costs for these API’s must still be maintained via the current operational flows with Walmart Associates, but now items retail price and costs at a store level are visible in the API:

Key Features of these APIs

• Store Level Cost and Price Visibility: Access detailed breakdowns for each item-store combination including cost and retail price.
• Distributor Information: View all pricing performance across individual Walmart stores for precise management and optimization.
• Price Validations: VMP suppliers can now easily store/item pricing to identify that items are priced correctly. When changes are needed, they will use the proper operational flows.

Benefits

• No Data Limitations: The Vendor Managed Pricing API provides all items, store, and distributor combinations in a singular report.
• Improved Filters: Suppliers can now filter through enhanced options, including item status and a variety of dates such as “Cost Effective Date”, “Retail Effective Date” to allow suppliers to pull the data that truly matters.

Who Should Use This Report?

This report is tailored for suppliers participating in Walmart’s VMP program who are:

• Defining and managing item costs for Walmart stores
• Collaborating with distributors to ensure seamless delivery operations
• Monitoring and refining pricing strategies for optimal performance and compliance

All items-store costs can be accessed using Walmart’s On Request Reporting Platform API’s and accessed in the VENDOR_MANAGED_PRICING report. For more information, please refer to the On Request Reporting Guide about the platform and associated workflows.

The Joint Primary Key for this report is the Item-Store Combination. This means each row in the Report is a unique item, store, and distributor (supplier) combination.

This report is not in real time and updated daily. It will take 24 hours for any updates made by suppliers or Walmart to appear in the report.
