Bulk item setup
The Bulk item setup API lets you set up and maintain items in bulk. Use this API for initial item setup and maintenance. This endpoint supports multiple feed types, and the payload structure depends on the feed type you select.
Endpoint
POST https://marketplace.walmartapis.com/v3/feeds?feedType={feedType}How feed submissions work
The Bulk item setup API uses feeds to submit item data for asynchronous processing. A feed contains one or more item records that Walmart processes in bulk.
You can submit a feed in either of these ways:
- Upload a feed file using
multipart/form-data. - Send the JSON payload directly in the request body using
application/json.
After you submit the feed, the API returns a feedId. Use the feedId to track processing status and review results.
Limits and sizing guidelines
- Up to 10,000 items per request. Feeds larger than 10,000 items aren’t supported.
- Keep feed files under 25 MB for optimal processing time.
- FITMENT_ACES and FITMENT_PIES support files up to 50 MB.
Supported feed types
The Bulk Item Setup API supports all feed types and spec versions identified in the Item spec: Versioning and diff reporting article. Make sure to include the correct feedType as a query parameter in your request.
